Now, I'll grant that Ridgeland, MS is no Philadelphia. But just because it's much smaller doesn't mean that it has to have an ugly city hall. There are certain civic buildings that are essential for any town - city hall, post offices, and so on. If you have to build them, why not make them beatiful, and make your citizens proud of their town?
Check out this ugly post office from Jackson, MS. Going to the post office is already a pretty boring experience - you just stand in line, get your stamps or package, and leave - so why make it depressing before you even get inside?
